bits and pieces

well ... i pressed and trimmed the embroidered blocks for Vintage Tin (aka Roadkill Road), rolled them onto an empty paper towel tube and packed them away with the fat quarter bundle of Inkwell fabric...

that was ... lemmecheck ... six months ago...

yeah...

i began to have the distinct impression that SOMEONE ) who shall remain anonymous but her initials are MELISSA) was not going to piece the blocks for the rest of the quilt top - two 9 1/2" devil's claw blocks, two 6 1/2" crossroads blocks, eleven 3 1/2" friendship stars, seven 3 1/2" half square triangles and 78 (SEVENTY-EIGHT!!!) 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" flying geese...

seventy-freaking-eight!!!

so ... i came up with the BRILLIANT idea of cutting the pieces and working TOGETHER on the blocks on sundays,  after we made our 150 Canadian Women blocks for the week cuz the iron would already be hot...

yeah, long story short, the TOGETHER part didn't happen -  not even once...

sigh...

all the bits and pieces are built now and assembly has begun...
