the tenth block of 150 Canadian Women is called Sugar Bowl, but it looks like a devil and we didn't want it in our True North quilts
so we substituted the (paper-pieced) Courthouse Steps block and it is dedicated to Esther Marjorie Hill
ten weeks done and 140 to go (give or take six)
there was a delay in finishing our blocks (sunday's hours were committed to our First Amendment rights and peace - there weren't enough hours left for piecing quilt blocks)
What an interesting woman....and to think it's just on one hundred years ago that she had to fight so hard.
