teetering tower of what was i thinking?!?

or...
what i did for FNSI...
tell me again whose bright idea this was?!?
for the past few days i've been sewing the quarter of a gazillion stars into borders for six quilt tops ... last night i spread them out for measuring and found myself wondering when the floor moved so far away?!? ... then i ripped flannel, and sewed the backs together ... i WAS gonna cut the bindings and sew those together, but i'd had enough of flying flannel for one night so i watched Grimm instead of doing anything productive ... i guess i oughta get the batting together for that tower of doom, huh? i have enough for the three smallest tops, but the others will require twin-sized batts...
hmmm ... batting and thread doesn't go on sale till Black Friday...
that's a legitimate excuse for ignoring them for a few days, innit?!?

LOLOLOL...Oh my gosh, thanks for a laugh. Now for the bad news, well maybe not bad for you depending on where your live. But if there is a Joann's close to you, they have a couple of 50% off any fabric coupons in their most recent fliers and you can get batting with those. (I use them when I want to buy an entire roll of warm and natural) BUT...maybe it snowed at your place like it did at mine last night and you don't want to drive on bad roads??? That's a good excuse too, *insert wicked laugh here*. Actually I can't wait to see your finishes after you tackle that 'tower of doom'. Hugs...

Sounds like a good excuse to me! Are you familiar with Monty Python's 'Expanding Universe' song about stars and galaxies? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYSXBsGOVuc&feature=related

Tower of doom is a very apt name for all those quilts you're working on,good luck with finishing them :) Barb.

You just gave me a new name for my heap of ironing... the Tower of Doom!! :0) Your heap looks way to cozy and colourful to be doom laden. Hope you get great savings on your batting.
Congrats on your FNSI win too..
